The new Grand Seiko Melbourne boutique spans three storeys, totalling 250m², including a ground floor showroom, a lower-level with a sophisticated bar and VIP lounge, plus a mezzanine for an additional lounge area.

Celebrating Heritage & Design
The design of the Grand Seiko Melbourne boutique meticulously celebrates the building’s key heritage elements. Original features like paneled ceilings, robust granite block columns, and captivating brick arches and vaulted ceilings were all preserved and highlighted. This blend of historical grandeur with contemporary luxury presented a significant challenge given the heritage building’s tight footprint, yet provided a rich backdrop for the Grand Seiko Melbourne boutique.

We designed the staircases for optimal efficiency, coordinating with multiple consultants for partial removal of non-significant heritage fabric. Studio PFA successfully localized Grand Seiko’s curved stair design, achieving full compliance.
